29th January 2003

January is nearly over - yay! Just these last few days to get out of the way. Today feels like a Thursday. In reality it is nearly time to leave work on Wednesday. No fair my mind is playing tricks.

This is my last week at work and it is going very, very slowly. I can’t wait to be out of here! Unfortunately it seems like half of my friends are leaving work this week and are being far more pro-active in organizing fun things to do to celebrate leaving. This means I am not going to get a yay my job is over party. I’m also not going to get a go away party of my own as Tim is having a birthday party and Sarah is having a leaving bash and all kinds of other things. Its all been most inconvenient for an attention seeker like myself.

So today has been a day where I have introduced my poor replacement into the world of all the dull stuff I do. It bored him stupid, made me look like a uninteresting kind of person with an amazing lack of talent for computers.

Yesterday was quite painful. Ben, the CEO of First Property was desperate to get his computer back up and running and didn’t care how unpleasant he had to be in order to inspire me to work faster. In the middle of it all I sliced my thumb on a case in the office, gushing blood everywhere. Far from fun.

Monday was pretty uneventful as was Sunday afternoon. Our team got the baddie bag in the Essex Arms Brentwood fun quiz. Its always great to win the baddy bag even though this time there wasn’t anything too exciting in it. I walked off with a blank video cassette!

I spent Saturday afternoon, evening and Sunday morning in Colchester. Rob left his job there and was having a party to celebrate ending it all, workwise I mean. It wasn’t bad although I didn’t have the large amount of energy I could have done with.

Didn’t do much last Thursday or Friday out of work either as far as I remember. I think I complained about being sent to Aylesbury last entry. My life is far too dull! Definitely need to inject something into it!

Roll on Friday!
