29th April 2002

April 2002 comes to a close. There is just one more day left after today. This isn't a bad thing as May moves me closer to the summer and closer to my trip to Washington, Maryland and Pennsylvania, yay!

Not much has happened in the past week. ITV Digital nears collapse so every day I wonder if I will be able to see my favourite TV programmes (both of them). I played badminton on Wednesday as normal but only with Julie and Andy as the others had things to do. It was our lowest turnout for quite a while.

I didn't even do much on Friday night. I went to the Oak as is becoming a habit, but turned round quite quickly as the music, the beer and the company were nowhere up to usual standards. The Oak had most of it's windows smashed in a fight during the week, which made the place cold.

The week started off with quite nice weather - especially on Tuesday and Wednesday, however by Friday the weather was abysmal and I ended up getting blown about and soaked on a number of occasions to many peoples amusement. Oh well.

Saturday turned out not too bad. I went round to Rob and Helens for a barbeque. The weather was OK, we got some sun and I think fun was had by all. I didn't get home until about midnight and then made a transatlantic phone call, grin. This did however make the day go quicker and consequently the weekend.

On Sunday I mainly stayed in bed all day, although I did play badminton in the evening. I also won my fist ebay bid ever. What a monumental day. I also bought a new book to read. "About a Boy", started that today.

So pretty dull week all in all and the coming week will most likely be the same. Oh well!
