June 2004

June 2004 is just over a week behind us but I am struggling very hard to think of what actually happened in the month for me.

The stand out event was a trip to Stoke on Trent with Kat and her workmate Kelly where we saw Bryan Adams play at the Britannia Stadium.  A more intimate outdoor event than I am used and Kats first.  It was one of the best gigs I have ever been to and I am glad that the first one for Kat was a good one.

Other than that I worked at Legal & General and still haven't decided where my future lies career-wise.  If money wasn't an issue I'd like to stay where I am now but I fear that they are going to offer something much lower than i would be happy with.  Getting a decent IT job seems to be pretty difficult these days.  I am keeping my eyes open and hopefully I will get a break.

Kat and I went to see the Harry Potter film and enjoyed that, we also went and stayed over at her parents one weekend, although unfortunately it was over quite quickly we had a lot of fun.  We also bought the original Rollercoaster Tycoon and have been having lots of fun, perhaps too much, with it ever since.

A few visitors came past the flat. Paul from Colchester, with his girlfriend Jo.  We only just saw them, the buses that day were non-existent!  Then Kerry came round for Sunday lunch and Kats friend Jane from Liverpool came to visit.  I'm still hoping to get a bigger gathering.  Whether it will happen or not remains to be seen!.
